Commercial Collection & Recycling Services

Crown Disposal Co., Inc. is currently under a six-year exclusive contract with the City of Beverly Hills to provide routine and special solid waste services for all businesses and multi-family dwellings in the city. These services include roll-off bin services for construction and demolition projects and large landscaping projects.

All waste collected by Crown Disposal is preprocessed to remove recyclables prior to landfilling. This process is done at the Sun Valley mixed processing facilities owned by our sister company, Community Recycling & Resource Recovery, Inc. As a result, the average diversion rate for all tonnages collected by Crown Disposal in 2007 was 50%.

Customer Service

The City of Beverly Hills and Crown Disposal coordinate their customer service efforts for business and multi-family customers.

The City of Beverly Hills Customer Service Staff, Commercial Services Division does the monthly billing for all commercial customers and is the first point of contact for all service requests (service level changes, bulky item pickup, special requests or complaints) and forwards them to Crown Disposal. The City maintains information on its web site regarding Commercial Disposal Services as well as for a variety of waste disposal and recycling issues.

For frontloader commercial accounts, call City staff at 310-285-2466
For roll-off accounts, call City staff at 310-288-2806.

Crown Disposal responds to all requests forwarded by City staff and a Crown Disposal Service Area Representative is in the field to make site inspections, ensure broken lids and wheels are replaced, reevaluate service needs, check and make sure roll-off bins will properly fit on the property, etc. Crown Disposal staff also participates in various community organizations and events, such as the April 2008 Earth Day event shown in the photo below.

Residential Recycling Services

City of Beverly Hills collection vehicles and staff provide collection services for residential refuse and green waste. Information regarding these services is also available on the City web site. However, all mixed residential trash is brought to Community Recycling's Sun Valley Material Recovery Facility to remove recyclables prior to landfilling. All residential green waste is also brought to Community Recycling's Sun Valley Organics Processing Facility for preprocessing, consolidation, and delivery to Community Recycling's Compost Facility in Lamont, California.
